Winter Dynasty

These images are what remains of the blue willow chinoiserie that I once collected with such passion.

This blue and white ceramic is a mainstay and classic in home decor and elevates everything it touches. I collected these pieces during many of my afternoons spent at my local thrift and was always excited when I would discover yet another variation on this timeless pattern.

Here they are striking against the backdrop of the red brick exterior of my then home. It was, as you can see, a cold winters day. 

Even as I put these grouping together for this still life image the snow was slowly trickling down. I'm still in amazement that these candles managed to stay lit and bring such a unique glow to these groupings.
